Vickie first joined our team back in 2010-2011 as a staff PT prior to moving to MA for 9 years. She returned to A Step Ahead in August of 2020 as the Clinic Manager. 

 

She has been practicing physical therapy since 2000 with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University then received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010, also from Sacred Heart. Vickie also holds a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Springfield College. 

Vickie's practice blends a unique combination of skills developed through her experiences as a physical therapist and an athletic trainer. In addition to practicing in outpatient, skilled nursing, and home health settings, she also brings many years of field and clinic experience in high school and collegiate athletics. Her clinical strengths include manual therapy, orthopedics, sports medicine, geriatrics, neurological care, women’s health, and post-breast cancer rehabilitation. She is certified in the Graston technique, Dry Needling and Cupping as well as the Functional Movement Screen and SFMA 1. 

 

Vickie has been active as a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since joining in 1997. Originally from Connecticut, she has been active in leadership and the profession in CT, MA and GA.  While in CT, she also served as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty at Sacred Heart University from 2007-2009. During her time in Massachusetts, she was also active at her daughter’s school and served as the assistant to her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop. Now that she is back in Georgia she has a goal to again become active in the APTA of GA.

 

Vickie and her husband have 3 daughters. Vickie enjoys spending time with family, friends, and their 3 dogs.
