Your physical therapist uses Functional Movement Screening (FMS) to observe seven fundamental movement patterns, allowing the identification and correction of abnormal movement patterns, compensatory movements, and side-to-side movement differences that may lead to injury. Correcting these movements reduces injury risk and is critical for the long-term durability of an athlete or active individual. FMS is recognized and used by both professional and collegiate sports teams including teams in the NFL, NBA, and NHL.
