She recently graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and a minor in Psychology. McKenzie has aspirations to become a PT herself and has been accepted to Georgia State University's PT program for 2020. She is very excited to learn a lot during her time here. McKenzie routinely assists with setting up equipment for exercises and recording for FMS Certified Physical Therapists.
McKenzie grew up in Roswell and loves being able to see how this profession is giving back to her hometown. She enjoys traveling, volunteering, and spending time with family in her free time. During her 4 years at Roswell High School, McKenzie was a student athletic trainer for the football and wrestling teams. She loved being able to help the athletes prevent and/ or heal their injuries, but over the 4 years she saw that the real magic was the rehabilitation after the injury. Being able to see the athlete improve over time through strengthening, ROM, and proprioceptive exercises lead her to pursue Physical Therapy as a profession. From then on, she continued to volunteer and shadow during her time in Tallahassee, FL. She is excited to continue on in this new adventure with an open mind and open heart at ASAPT.
