Brad Freemyer

Brad, the founder of A Step Ahead Physical Therapy, brings over 35 years of dedicated experience in physical therapy. His approach emphasizes holistic care and personalized treatment, focusing not just on addressing injuries but on enhancing overall wellness for his patients. Brad holds certifications in SFMA, FMS, Functional Wellness, and Y-Balance Test, reflecting his commitment to staying at the forefront of advanced assessment techniques and effective corrective strategies.

Throughout his career, Brad has served in roles such as Director of Rehab at Baptist Medical Center (now Northside Hospital Forsyth) and President of the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy. He remains actively involved in professional organizations like APHPT, APTA, and PTAG, where he contributes to initiatives that benefit the physical therapy community and patients alike, including advocating for Direct Access in Georgia.

With a background as a former collegiate soccer player and a degree in Physical Therapy from Georgia State University, Brad values his community deeply. He supports various charitable causes and shares his expertise as a guest lecturer in local Physical Therapy programs. Brad has been honored with awards such as the Merit Award for Exceptional Service and the GA State Univ. Distinguished Alumnus Award, recognizing his contributions to the field.

Despite recently relocating to Minneola, FL, Brad continues to commute to Roswell, GA, to serve his practice and community. He aims to expand A Step Ahead Physical Therapy's impact by building direct relationships with local employers and organizations to promote health and wellness among employees and members. Brad and his wife, Cindy, are active members of Real Life Church and cherish time spent with their adult daughters, son-in-law, and grandchildren.
