Brad Freemyer, PT/Owner
With more than 22 years of experience, Brad has a treatment philosophy that values personalized, hands-on care. He believes in finding and treating the root of the problem rather than just treating the symptoms. Brad previously designed and operated the outpatient physical therapy department at Northside Hospital Forsyth, served on the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy, and owned and operated his mobile practice prior to opening his current practice.
Brad has an extensive background in sports, especially soccer, and offers great insight to sports related cases. Brad has played soccer for over 30 years including collegiate soccer at Berry College. Today, Brad is very involved in the sport as a high school coach and supports the athletes of surrounding Fellowship Christian, Blessed Trinity, and Roswell high schools. He understands what it takes to meet the physical therapy needs of sports enthusiasts through personal and specialized programs. He is an avid fan of his two daughter's multiple sport's teams and his wife's Tennis Team at Fellowship Christian School where she coaches and teaches.
In addition, Brad has expertise in the area of Geriatrics and Vestibular Rehab. He enjoys working with Seniors and believes that age should never be a reason to either be in pain or restricted from activity.
Amy Gross, PT,DPT,OCS,CSCS.
Amy believe's the rehab process is a shared responsibility between the physical therapist and patient. To ensure success during the process of recovery and rehabilitation it is important to work together to set attainable goals as a part of your personalized treatment plan. During Amy's years of practice she has come to understand that it is her responsibility to enable you, as the patient, to facilitate your strengths, overcome your weaknesses, and succeed in the total body healing process.
On a personal note, Amy and her husband Jon moved to Canton, GA in May of 2004 and 16 months later welcomed their daughter, Rowan. December of 2009 welcomed a second daughter, Reese. Amy's time away from the clinic is spent attempting to recapture her college "dancing days", supporting her husband's soccer team, and discovering the nuances of a being a mother of now two little girls.
Victoria Rainville, PT, DPT, ATC
A Step Ahead Physical Therapy is pleased to welcome Victoria Rainville to the practice. Vickie has a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT and a Bachelors degree in athletic training from Springfield College in Massachusetts.
Her physical therapy practice blends a 20 year combination of skills developed through her experiences as a physical therapist and an athletic trainer. In addition to practicing in outpatient, skilled nursing, and home health, she has also brings many years of field and clinic experience in high school and collegiate athletics. Clinically, she brings strength to A Step Ahead in orthopedics, sports medicine, geriatrics, as well as neurological care and women’s health.
Vickie has recently relocated from CT where she was an active member of Sacred Heart University’s Physical Therapy Adjunct Faculty, the Connecticut Physical Therapy Association’s Board of Directors and the American Physical Therapy Association’s House of Delegates. Outside of work she is enjoying being a new mother. Her interests include skiing, golf, Pilates, and cycling.

Amy Zimmerman
Amy joined A Step Ahead in March 2009. Amy is married to John and has two children, Courtney 17 and Ben 14. Away from the office she is active in her church and enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends. Amy enjoys the family atmosphere here at A Step Ahead and takes serious her small role in making patients feel comfortable.
Joyce Philpotts
Joyce joined the A Step Ahead family in September 2009. Joyce is married to Don and has two sons, Ryan 21 and Jake 19. After many years at home taking care of her family, Joyce has brought that nurturing spirit to benefit everyone at A Step Ahead, both staff and patients.

Our support staff consists of Cailin Freemyer and Katie Reeves. They are both very integral to the office running smoothly and being maintained in a clean, inviting environment.
